MegaCity Simulator is a city-building game with housing, businesses, transport and public services. You plan the streets, zone land for private development and decide how to fund and expand the city.
Follow the in-game tutorial to build your first neighbourhood. Use Troubleshooting when something is not working.

The lite map has half the width and depth of the large desktop map: one quarter of its area. The lite version opens only its own saves; see Saves.
Edition, economy mode and visual mode are separate choices. Arcade is available in both editions. Choosing 2D changes how the city is drawn; it does not remove the economy or transport simulation. The economy mode is fixed when you create a city.
Choose where to start
- Arcade vs Simulation: prices, unlocks and the rules for taxes and borrowing.
- Controls and camera: building tools, navigation, inspection and settings.
- Roads, Transport and parking and Terrain: lay out the city and connect it.
- Zoning and Development: plot sizes, construction and redevelopment.
- Residents and jobs, City services and Parks and environment: understand residents' needs.
- Utilities, Economy and budget and Trade and visitors: supply the city and pay its bills.
- Map layers and reports: find the cause of a problem before building a solution.
- Saves: save a city, export a copy or import one from a file.
Sections marked Simulation mode only describe features unavailable in Arcade and the lite version. Arcade unlocks are identified separately where they affect a tool or service.
Before creating a city
Choose Small or Large where offered, a visual mode and an economy mode. The map options let you include lakes, a river and a sea coast. Inspect the preview before starting; water and terrain affect where roads, buildings and ports will fit.
The city opens paused. Only roads and parks are built instantly; buildings take time to construct. Utilities are imported from the region at first, through the starting road connection. Keep that connection intact.
See System requirements for hardware and graphics support. Smaller maps and the 2D view are available when a large 3D city would be too demanding for your device.
